You've taken it all.
I have no more,
It's all gone.
Increased the taxes,
Except for your own.
Gaining the least,
Yet paying the most.
You feast on meat,
Our draught carries on.
We feed like vultures,
Scavenging along.
Your eyes are closed,
Caring only for your own.
But what do we expect,
When there's no Opposition?

Sitoi hata kidogo,
Juu Kura nilipiga.
Bright and early I rose,
Expectant and eager .
Only to hear,
A few days later,
My time din't matter.
There were clear winners,
Way before the voting procedures.
Carried on with life,
Harsher today,
And worse the day after.
Such a waste.
I gave up sweet slumber,
And walked for kilometers,
For your word,
That crumbled right after.

Not this time...I'm sorry.
Thought I wouldnt have to worry,
About no food in my tummy
I knew roads was a long story,
But food I thought was automatic,
Atleast at this time in history.
How can there be a shortage,
When in another part of the country
Maize is rotting in storage?

You declare this disaster.
This means,
No rescue from our masters.

That's all you offer.
As I burry my daughter,
And my husband after.

Sitoi hata kidogo,
Scandle after scandle,
You smile on.
The villains are known,
But still you  ignore.
You create weak legal frameworks
To ensure their work goes on.
Then vie for another seat,
And gloat after you've won.
I'm not targeting anyone,
But if the cap fits..it's yours.
I wonder what it would take,
For my people to wake,
And refuse to tolerate,
The repeat of mistakes.
And are willing to place,
The crowns on the heads,
Of those who deserve the chance,
To lead their way.

No part of me shall I give,
Until all is just and fair.
I know my story matters,
Not just a background character.
I deserve the best,
Especially from the Public Servants.
I take back what is mine,
Freedom of mind.
Will not rewind,
My pattern of ignoring the sinister,
In the acts of those I entrust,
With "our" power,
As a people united together.
I take this power back,
And will not lose it thereafter."
